No more than five pets may be transported across the border into EU countries.
Under EU rules, animals must have a health certificate with a mark confirming vaccination against rabies and other required vaccinations, and the animals themselves must be identified with an electronic identifier (tagged with marked microchips). You will also need to fill out a declaration for the temporary export of animals and their return. This document is presented when returning the animals from EU territory. Transporting animals across the border is possible at designated checkpoints.
If you are bringing pets into Ukraine that were purchased abroad, you must have a veterinary passport and a veterinary certificate in the F-1 form issued no later than 72 hours before crossing the border.
